CHOCOLATE CRINKLES

 

 

½ cup shortening

1 2/3 cups sugar

2 tsp vanilla

2 eggs

2 oz baking chocolate, melted

2 cups flour

2 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1/3 cup milk

½ cup chopped nuts

 

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs and chocolate. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add nuts. Chill 3 hours. Form into 1” balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet 2-3” apart.

 

BAKE:  350 degrees, 15 minutes
