CHILI RELLENO BAKE
1 lb
ground beef
½ chopped
onion
¼ tsp
black pepper
1 pkg taco
seasonings
1 large
can whole green chilies
rinsed & halved lengthwise
4 eggs,
beaten
1 ½ cups
milk
½ cup
Bisquick
1 ½ cups
grated cheeses,
cheddar, jack, Colby, etc.
2 Tblsp
chopped fresh cilantro
Salsa,
sour cream, tomatoes
Brown meat,
add onion. Drain fat and add seasonings. Place half of chilies on bottom of 8 x
12 baking dish. Top with meat mixture. Sprinkle with half of cheese. Arrange
remaining chilies on top of cheese. Sprinkle cilantro on top of chilies. Top
with remaining cheese. Combine eggs,
milk, Bisquick. Pour over chilies.
BAKE: 350 degrees, 40 minutes, or till knife
inserted in center comes out clean. Serve with salsa, sour cream and tomatoes.
MICROWAVE: medium, 15 minutes
Let stand
for 10 minutes before serving.
