ARTICHOKE CRAB APPETIZERS
1 - 8 oz
pkg cream cheese
1/4 cup
mayonnaise
1 tsp
Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp garlic
powder (I crushed a garlic clove)
1/8 tsp
lemon pepper seasoning
1 Tblsp
lemon juice
dash
hot sauce
1 can
artichoke hearts (not the marinated kind!)
1/4 cup
grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup
fresh crabmeat (1/4 lb) (you can use canned also)
In mixer,
cream the cheese and mayonnaise, add next 5 ingredients. Chop artichoke hearts
into pieces and add to cheese mixture.
Stirring
by hand, add Parmesan cheese and crab. Put in an 8" round baking dish.
Bake at
375 degrees, 20-25 minutes or until top starts to brown and bubble. Best served when allowed to cool to room temperature.
Makes a
good dip for small crackers, a spread for a baguette of French bread, or baked
in Phyllo dough. It's also tempting to just eat it out of the bowl you’re
mixing it all in!
